Wow!!! Amazing!! So this was the surprise you promised? Fluid has just become not just my SSB but my default browser.

Amazing ! I think I will use Fluid instead of Safari too. :)

Dude, for lack of a more articulate phrase, that looks freaking _cool_. I haven’t had a chance to install it yet, but if it’s as useful as it appears that it could be, then +1.

    Nice work.

Todd, can you comment on the bug with google reader while navigating with hotkeys? when you view an item by pressing ‘v’, not only does it open the “original” item in the default browser, but it also creates a “second” google reader fluid window. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Am I the only one who CANNOT get Growl notification to work with Gmail? It just won’t DO anything when I receive new messages, and the dock badge doesnt help when my dock is hidden. Is some sort of custom userscript required?

Also, can anything be done about the dock badge only appearing if an actual SSB window is open? Currently, one can’t just have the icon in the dock and have it pick up unread message counts.

  6. Todd Says:

@Adam no u are not the only one and that is because Fluid doesn’t ship with growl support for gmail. You are welcome, however, to write a userscript that does this and share it with the community. See the fluid website for details on shared userscripts.

Ah…. thats a disappointment, seeing as I don’t posses that sort of technical knowledge. Anyone possessive of such skill willing to take requests?

    Hi,

I love Fluid! Really cool app. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I cannot use the thumbnail plugin. It’s just not loading… so, im waiting excitedly for the next version !

Are there any plans on saving tabs for a Fluid instance? I’d really like to use Fluid for Flickr but would like to save some tabs that open up after a restart of the app. I am also really curious about that Flickr plugin you had in one of your screenshots. Thanks for the great app, Todd!

Big fan of the app- and the new thumbnail plugin is fantastic! One question though, does anyone have a workaround for websites with untrusted certificates? All I get is Load Error: Reason: bad server certificate. Very upsetting :-(

Nevermind- checked the Google Group- apparently I’m SOL for the time being
